Card Prepayment Meter Bill

Options
I recently changed from N-Power to BG about three months ago and have recently had a bill from NPower stating i owe £92. I don't understand this as it was a card prepayment meter (and i never owed them any money since i've been with them), i've looked at the energy watch site and it says this is a common problem for token meters as they aren't updated without an engineer's visit, but it also says card meters are automatic. If this is so, then how can I owe money. I'd appreciate any advice if anyone knows more about this than I do, as i've been told to expect a debt collector's visit very soon and don't want to agree to pay back if I don't owe.

Thanks

The old type "Card Meters" need an engineers visit to reset the price (when prices go up or down), The new style "Key Meters" are automatic (Or rather they are done at your suppliers end without a visit)
