Waiting for V5 from dvla?
Hi everyone
I've given a deposit for a car, however we can't complete the sale until the registered keeper gets his V5 back. Basically he sent it off last week because he is retaining his private number plate and had a letter back on friday that this has been done. He was told on the phone that it would take 5-7 days to get a new v5. Is this a realistic time for dvla? I am a bit curious because I've seen this letter and it's very standard in stating that it usually takes up to 4weeks.
Is there anyway to speed up this process?
Many thanks
