Hi all,

A long time since I posted on here but just looking for some help as I've recently decided to get my s$*t together and restructure my debt to reduce it asap.

I recently took out the 24 month 0% balance transfer offer from Barclaycard and had transferred my high interest cards to this and am now considering any possible way to shift my overdraft (or a portion of) to the card to try and reduce usage and interest fees.

The issue I have is how do I get the money into my current account from the card. I did look into a offer from Lloyds, which touted 9 Months 0% on a transfer to my current account after which I was going to be cheeky and transfer to the Barclaycard 24 month deal.
But it was subject to acceptance and since I just had the Barclaycard they won't provide me with the offer.

So now I'm left with a question of what to do....

Could I extract the money from the lloyds card to Paypal and then to the current account and balance transfer the lloyds card to the barclaycard
or
balance transfer and put myself into credit on the Lloyds card and somehow get the money back?

Please any suggestions welcome :)

Apparently you can open a betting account with William hill or who ever, pay into it from a credit card then withdraw that money to a bank account. Google it.

Some cc providers treat payments to bookmakers as cash advances.

Do a search on this forum for "gambling".
  • This is why i'm unsure what to do really.

I would prefer to do it the least riskiest way possible, such as transferring from the lloyds card to put it into credit and then somehow getting the money back to my current account.

Hopefully i can find a way before Monday as thats the last day of my balance transfer period.

What would you guys think the impact would be of balance transferring my lloyds card into credit? Has anyone had any experience of getting the CC Credit amount into my Current account.
