When will I get my first JSA payment?

Hey there, I'm sure this has been done to death.
Applied for JSA, saw some bloke to sign some stuff on the 13th, the advisor also gave my sign-on booklet and I have to sign on tomorrow at 12:30-13:00. However I've also got another letter to see an advisor at 3:55 for an interview. Do I honestly have to show up at 12:30 and then wait for another 3 HOURS just to go through some more stuff I already know about? Or will I get to see the advisor when I show up?
Also when am I likely to receive my first payment? I read something about 3 days after signing on, so I'd get it in this Saturday?
Thanks all

It is difficult to say when you will get your first payment. Yes, you will be expected to go to the appointments 3 hours apart, after all if your not working, they will see it as you should be available.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0

True the jobcentre mentality is no matter what time they give you appointments if you ask for a different time then its suspicious, I had it a lot when I lived with parents and had 5 buses a day first of which got me to town at 8.45 and 15 minutes walk to JC and that was if there was no traffic I used to ask for a later appointment and they used to tell me that as I was unemployed, if say the next bus was 1pm getting me in at 2pm and they wanted to give me an appointment at 1.30 I had to get the 8am bus and wait from 8.45 to 1.30 just doing job search
Anyway to the OP, normally an adviser interview replaces a sign on interview but its best to check with JC in morning just in case.0 -
Usually if the appointment with the advisor is on the same day as signing on you don't need to go to both but I would check. If you sign on Wednesday then you'll get the money on Monday, three working days.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I was under the impression that if you has a later appointment the one
earlier was done along with the later one, after all the actual 'signing on'
is really just a signature and the adviser having a glancing look at your
diary.
That was always the case when it happened to me.
But best to phone up, im sure they will say similar though.0
