Schedule of Condition

As per previous posts our landlord has given us notice as he is selling the property privately.

Looking through our tenancy agreement it says we have to leave the house in the condition we found it. Well when we moved in the paint was all chipped and peeling in the bathroom, we have not done any work to this.

Spoke to Managing Agents today who advised we would need to professionally paint and clean the carpets, now surely as the landlord is selling privately the buyers would accept the decor as sold as seen?

The landlord has given us until 23rd April to leave, but we have had an offer accepted on a house and they want us to move in ASAP. According to the managing agent as we are now in our notice period we can move out at any time, well we want to move out this Saturday before our next rent period kicks in. I just wanted to confirm this was the correct information?

What concerns me is we are borrowing £450 off my in laws to pay towards the new place, we would need to get our £475 deposit back to pay them back. Are we looking at a fight to get deposit back?

Has anyone successfully received their deposit back?
