How can I record video from my TV to my PC?

Options
Without a camera filming it?
I'm assuming you link the tv to pc somehow, but how>? I want to get some videos up, but whenever I use a video camera, I always hear the clunking of the strum bar.
I can get my pc on my tv, but not the other way around. Any help would be much appreciated.

I use a TV Capture card. I've got a Winfast PVR, bought it on ebuyer.com i think.

I don't link the TV to the pc though.

The setup I use at this house is Cable Scart into TV and the aerial from the Cable box into my pc's TV card.

The TV card software then scans and picks up the signal.

There is no external aerial connection in this room so don't need to worry about looping through the analogue BBC etc signal.

For you to go from Video to PC, get a TV capture card, take the aerial from the video and plug it into the PC.

Tune in the channel in the software and record to the hard drive.

You won't need to turn on your TV.

    Hope this helps
