Hi iv had a letter from my bank telling me that as they don't have my records from 6 years ago that they can't look into my details of mis sold ppi? Is there anything I can do bout this or is that my claim now over? Its for 3 loans first one back in 1999 & the bank is royal bank of Scotland. Any help would b greatly appreciated

Once the bank has destroyed records then unless you have any records which can be used, then its typically end fo the road.
Most banks hold on for at least 6 years after the debt has been repaid. So, if yours was only taken out 6 years ago, then it seems premature to destroy them this quickly. You may wish to consider a DSAR to see if they really have or not. However, a DSAR only shows relevant filing systems and many of these old agreements wont be in a relevant filing system.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
