Halifax Junior Isa 6% and Scotland

The Halifax Junior Isa 6% that is available in branches is not available in Scotland as there is no Halifax branches
I wanted to open an ISA with Halifax / Bank of Scotland and linked it to the Junior Isa at 6% but this is not available for Scottish

I spoke to customer services and it's only available in England

I don't think this is really fair .

I don't think it's fair that your students get to go to Scottish universities for free, or that there are no prescription charges.

Damn, what should we do about all this inequality?!

It is available to Scots. They just have to visit a Halifax branch in England to open it.

I don't live in a town that has a Garfunkels restaurant or an Angus Steak House. My local Pizza Hut doesn't deliver. I only get to see the beauty of the Highlands once every decade or so.

    Not fair.
  • As I say to my kids, life ain't fair so suck it up.
  • Just checked with the Halifax as I was interested in this product and you wouldn't be able to open an account anyway as the parents need to have a savings account with the Halifax in order to qualify. I'm presuming that you don't.

I feel discriminated against for not having an account with them now!
