First Save Interest - February

Having just taken out my two new FirstSave bonds I was surprised to see interest for one of them in my bank account today, having been told it would be tomorrow.....
Checked it and it was two days short.
On checking with First Save they confirmed that their systems could not cope with the leap year and that interest PAID AWAY to external accounts was indeed paid today and was two days short in Feb (why two days, not one ... who knows?) Two days additional interest will be paid in March ....
However (allegedly ...) interest credited BACK to accounts is being paid correctly tomorrow, but the Customer Service operative couldn't tell me whether it would be for the right number of days ....(didn't really expect her to !).... Watch this space ...
As has been my experience to date though, very helpful staff ....
