In asda the kind lady opened all 5 boxes that they had delivered this morning and they all had either lip gloss or mascara.

Last time they ran the offer, the lady in Sainsburys opened a new box for me and the magazines contained one of each product (were there 10 or 12 different products?) so I was able to get the lipstick and the lipgloss and the moisture surge ... seems a bit of a con to not have equal quantities of the more expensive product

That would be outrageous if they varied the gifts by region.

I went to the local newsagents again and the Cosmo mags have been hoovered up, there were TONS yesterday and hardly any today but they do still all have 2 items in - mainly the green face scrub and mascara or lipgloss. I bought myself the Glamour mag with the free hair product in protest :rotfl:

They def issue loads more of the face scrub I've noticed - I guess it's the cheaper product.

Oddly I've been all over Chelmsford and I haven't found a single mag with the scrub! The other three gifts seem fairly equal in distrubution.

On my wrapper it says "collect all four" but it doesnt say how many products you get with the mag. I think I need to get my MP involved with this ... he is always ranting on about how the North is treated differently from the South, didnt think it would ever apply to magazine freebies ... shocking thing to do to us already deprived Northerners!!!

Its not just up north, i'm down south and all the mags i've seen have only got one item :(
    Errrr...come back later ;)

My daughter lives in London and the handbag size magazine with TWO free samples inside (She chose moisture surger with lip gloss - all the magazines are selling one skincare with one make-up item!) She said all the shops in London are selling both sizes of magazines with TWO free gifts. Down here on the South Coast, all the shops are selling the magazines with just ONE free gift. She checked her magazine and it says "not all products available in all areas".

I am most annoyed with Cosmo and feel this is a rip-off!! I refuse to buy a magazine with just ONE free gift when two are available elsewhere. I'm in the fortunate position of having someone in a different area who is going to buy me the magazine with the two free gifts I want but appreciate others are not so lucky. I wonder who makes the decision of where???
  • I bought cosmo purely for the free gift, not very keen on the magazine itself. I only got 1 gift, picked the only moisture surge that was available, lots of copies had mascara or lipgloss, but all copies in the shop i was in, handbag size & large all only had 1 gift. I had no idea there should have been 2!! This is in Cardfiff.

Wonder if anyone still has the wrapper that says there should be 2 items & can post a pic?

I scanned a copy of my wrapper before I binned it but failed miserably to upload it - this site is so hard to upload to - I guess they don'treally want you to....maybe someone else will have better luck otherwise I'll try again next week using photobucket for a link or something...

  • In my area, south Manchester, there is definitely only 1 gift, and nowhere on the wrappers does it say 2. There are very few Moisture Surges around, and I haven't spotted one single face scrub! A very nice man in the Trafford Centre Boots offered to check their stock for me, and found me a Moisture Surge, UNLIKE the surly pair putting the magazines out in Asda, who said they "couldn't" open any of their bundles for me!
Like Pinkdebster above, I also have a daughter in London and I've commissioned her to find me a Moisture Surge - she can have the other gift as a finder's fee!

I checked about 50 copies of the magazine in 10 difference stores and no moisture surge or face scrub anywhere. Very disappointed.
  • The other gift is in the mag on page 192/3 you have to go into a store to receive a free 5 day trial of custom fit foundation.
I am a very happy bunny managed to get 4 moisture surges from 2 local stores ;-)
