Am I right in thinking that leasehold properties aren't the common "thing" in Scotland?
As a FTB the terms leasehold/freehold keeps coming up but they seem to be for English properties. Is there a Scottish equivalent or does it just not exist here, so to speak?
Years ago in Scotland there used to be feu duty payable on properties. In our case it was payable to the original owner of the land. We bought out our feu in the 70s and no properties in Scotland are now subject to this duty.
