British Gas Scam ? _BEWARE

Having signed up for free British Gas insulation and had it installed, I've now received an invoice for £300. The invoice is headed "British Gas" and the contact telephone number is answered "British Gas" - but there is no switchboard. Also the Invoice is printed on cheap paper with an ink-jet printer. The Bank account for payment is NOT a British Gas account. It looks like this is an attempt by the subcontractor to generate extra monies for themselves !

How many other people have been scammed like this, I wonder??

Why do British Gas let this happen???
