Can't opt NOT to have CC statement sent by post?

My credit card company (the Co-operative) suddenly started sending me monthly credit card statements in the post after I'd opted to go paperless. (I check my statement online at least twice a week).
When I challenged them, they said that they now have to send out paper statements by post because the FSA now insist upon it.
Can anybody confirm that this is true and point me to the relevant FSA documents, please?

It's not true. My ex-egg Barclaycard is still paperless. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

My Tesco and MBNA cards are still paperless.
The only thing they state is that any charges incurred will be both online and posted and you can't change that.0 -
I think they are obliged to send an annual statement - that is all.:xmastree:POMDB Xmas 2013 Board - Paid off £12k in 2012 :j:j :xmastree:
