Thanks greenman, I think I followed that.
If nothing else, take some pride in the fact that you have helped educate someone
Good luck.0 -
Nice to hear from you again.
Hope you and your mother are managing to keep strong.
I hope that it will not be too long before you both can get on with your lives and enjoy your OWN home.0 -
It's been a long time since I last updated the thread due to the still ongoing legal dispute with my ex-stepfather..
I'd just like to say again, in the hope that if only one person who's followed this thread/dispute from the beginning in May 2011, can learn from it and either avoid making a similar mistake, or at least make sure they have a watertight written legal agreement in place (as advised often by other posters to this thread ), clearly stating the interests of all parties involved, then it's good.
Things really are now coming to a head and I will update as soon as I can.

Thanks for the update. You and your Mum stay safe.
Sadly money and family don't mix - no matter how much you trust them.
I'm sure many of us have learnt just how low people can sink if there is a sniff of free money - your thread will have helped people.NOT a NEWBIE!

Thanks Hillbilly1, and everybody else too - I'm just in the process of issuing court proceedings to finally bring this dispute to an end, one way or another - I'll update at the very latest after the court hearing.
Thanks, greenman2.0 -
I am sorry this has gone on for so long. I hope you and your mother are safe. I hope that this case does resolve.., and in the way that you want. I admire how you have gone about this.0

Nicely put Deannatrois.
OP, you've done really well to keep your head above water to this point. All the best for the final phase of this struggle.0 -
I just wanted to say that I haven't abandoned the thread although I haven't updated it for a few months - the legal dispute is ongoing, so I'm unable to disclose any details until settlement, but will do so with (hopefully) helpful details when I can.

Good luck. Glad to see you post again.
I hope it all works out in the best way.
