Another House viewing cancelled on us
advice_please_2
Have only enquired to view two houses recently and both cancelled on us, due to first one having an offer in and now this second one has apparently full asking price and to cancell all other viewings.
I can understand why people say house buying and selling is so stressfull
Feel gutted, but I guess not suppose to be

They'll be some people reading this in areas with a stagnant housing market a bit shocked by this but we were in the same position when we were looking - the well-priced places with good fundamentals were going very fast. Whereabouts are you, out of interest?
Don't lose heart, there will be more places on the market (especially at this time of year) and you just have to make sure that you are the ones getting the first viewing next time!! This is acheived by being nice and friendly to the local EAs but also assuring them of your seriousness as buyers - the more ready to go you are the more they will prioritise you as they want an easy life too!!
Good luck OP0 -
You can make it a lot less stressful by approaching it in the right way, always remember not to get your hopes up, even if you like a house there are sometimes massive problems which make it unsuitable and when you reach the stage that you start making offers make sure you set your own price and don't go above it, if a buyer wants too much then just back away and find another house.0

Thanks.
Yeah I guess I get my hopes up too much on certain things. But on a house I've got my specifics and willing to compromise on certain things.
These last two offered the space, location, school proximity, work proximity etc.
Oh well not meant to be, but I guess it may still fall through and give us another chance etc.0 -
Are you buying in/near London, or in Aberdeen...?
If you're getting stressed out at merely having a couple of viewings cancelled, then fasten your seat belt for later in the process....0 -
not stressed with viewings cancelled, just a little gutted not getting a chance.
i'm based in bristol area.
now with young children, things like safety, school, space is priorty over looks, garage space for boys toys etc.
first stage lesson learnt. be quicker to act and become friendly with EAs0
