Hi I hope there is someone here who would be able to help me sort my problem out. I have createda website in Ms publisher 2003, and used Terrapin FTPto upload it to the net. (first I published every site into 1 folder, so all graphics are published and all is in 1 folder) Then I uploaded it(connectedto theserver, followed the terrapin upload thing and... well the problemstarts here:
https://www.alveo-akuna.co.uk - thats my site (ihope this is not forbidden)
when i open it - Index of /home.htm , home_files/ appears, dont know why and dont know how to get rid of t
next issue - in Internet Explorer as you ca see the graphics are not showing, but they are ok inMozilla? so why is that? Another issue - as seen inMozilla the tool bar buttons are a bit blured, but they are perfect in Publisher? so why do they appear blured online? and I think last issue - contact meform - when pressed submit - it does not send the question to my email as requested in Publisher
??
Any ideas how to sortit all out???
Please!!!
Thanks techie gurus!!!

If I am correct, the first page should be called index, not home.0

Oh, Publisher and websites... I've had a look at the code and it's horrible. Oddly, (since Publisher is a Microsoft product) the page renders reasonable in Firefox but without the graphics in IE7.
There are lots of conditional comments in there such as [if !vml] just before the topbar image, which makes me think that it's trying to create the image using vml if possible, and perhaps the conditional statement is being misinterpreted by IE. I'm sorry, but I don't think there's an easy way to solve this, other than perhaps going back to your Publisher file and exporting it as HTML again, but unticking lots of boxes where it says 'use VML where available' or 'use SVG where available'.0 -
Thanks, I had the same problem in Frontpage, graphics... damn it... Its just the graphics that is the problem I get a comment: The case of the reference in your page does not match the case of the file name and the page may not work properly when uploaded to the web... and beclever here...

Make sure that UPPER and lower case names are correct on both your pc and on the FTP server.
CAR.JPG will be different to car.jpg0 -
I downloaded it and tried to sort some of the problems out but the code is a right mess because of what Publisher does with it, front page isn't much better mind.
I created a new site using your graphics (only created the first page) if you like it it's all yours, it's mostly done using CSS so it will work in most browsers and on most screen resolutions. It may be a bit plain but thats how I like to see sites so you may not like it

Also I added Alt text to all of the images, this is important as people who are partially sighted would not know what your images were without it as it reads out the alt text to them.0

Wow thank you!! I really appreciate what you have done and thank Goodness there are people like you that help others, so thanks loads...
I have a question - the website you created did you basically do it in html? how do you do it - imean did you copy the html from publisher and pasted it (altered) in note pad and uploaded? I think I ll have to learn how to do it properly in html as I dont know how to sort the publisher out, and i need my website asap, the 1 you did is brill - simple and effectife, I would just make small changes - eg font etc, but iguess I need to learn how to do it... please could you let me know how i should proceed, and thanks loads for what you have already done!! thank you:D0
