Happy Birthdayto Jaxx's DS.
JackieO I hope your DD gets on ok with the wisdom teeth extraction. Are they opposite sides? I guess it'll be soft foods for her for a bit, then - scrambled eggs, mash, style of thing.
I'm afraid I'm not a happy Wolf today; we attended the CAMRA meeting last night, and one of the wives, who's a bit gushy to say the least, and hugs everyone, decided I was to be her victim of the evening.
Now, I'm not a huggy person in RL at the best of times - I don't like people invading my personal space, and in a wheelchair, it's hard to dodge out of the way. But this lady grabbed hold of my bad shoulder - how I didn't swear at her, I do not know. Of course, today, it's giving me hell - I've taken Oramorph (last dose was at 12:30) but it still hurts like the very devil.:(
Oh well, I dare say it'll settle down in time. But I really don't understand the impulse to hug random people.
It's veggie bangers'n'mash tonight, and Mr LW has said if it's still too painful, he'll help get dins when he gets in, and we'll just eat a little later than usual.:AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW maybe you should wear a sling for show or just a big sign "DONT HUG ME LIKE GODZILLA YOU WILL HURT ME!!!"
Afternoon everyone. I had my exam and I'm soooo hacked off, it contained none of the stuff we were told could be on the exam and we should revise, it contained stuff we had never been taught and typing errors! A few people found it okay because they had done other modules (which are not prerequisite) which they had learnt some of the theory in and are generally freakishly intelligent. Looks like it will be a repeat of another of his modules where everyone complained, he got in trouble, uni spends thousands on meetings, external moderators etc. BRILLIANT
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Hi Everyone,
LW that sounds painful.Hope it settles down and doesn't give you too much discomfort over the rest of the day. Some people simply don't THINK. I'm sure there are many more than you who would've liked to escape but couldn't dodge in time.
Looks like its a bit grey and dreary everywhere today, drizzling on and off here and have wet washing draped around all over the place.
Bought a huge bag of carrots and about 9 leeks for 7p and 9p respectively in White Rose yesterday, a bit of a bargain to get the adrenalin going.Last night I made a cheesy leek gratin to go with sausages and this morning I've made carrot and lentil soup. And eaten two bowls, with felafel thrown in like dumplings. And now I feel like a greedy pig and do not want to face the ironing.
Doodle has a little friend coming to play and have tea so no doubt I'll run around with them a bit.
It's Family Fast Day in our Parish/School this Friday. The children are buying a paper biscuit instead of a real one at snack time, which I think is a lovely idea.
Hope everyone's days go well, whether working, working at home, or presently skiving like me.
Hugs and kisses ( gentle ones)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: There's a bit in the film version of Pratchett's "The Colour of Magic" where Rincewind the wizard says to Twoflower "No hugging - I Do Not Hug!!" - I could do with a T-shirt with a picture of Rincewind and that quote on it!:DLW maybe you should wear a sling for show or just a big sign "DONT HUG ME LIKE GODZILLA YOU WILL HURT ME!!!"
Tbh, even shaking hands with someone has, on a couple of occasions, made me yelp with pain.:(
Ah well, thank goodness for Oramorph!:pIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hello all
Been absent from the OS boards for a while. Been getting my head around becoming DF so have frequented the DFW boards more recently. Decided though that, as I feel like I'm slipping off the DF wagon a bit, a bit of OS will help me get back on the DF track. If I feel accountable for doing OS things, I'll start doing them as habit once more.
OS activity today - hmmm... took my own lunch to work (not got out of that routine)... darn, I think that's it!
Hope you are all well, will catch up with you all tomorrow when I hope I'll have more OS activity to report
