I was refused in Superdrug today aswell. She said it was because it was already on offer. The 'sales leader' said no too. I knew they were wrong but it wasn't worth arguing. I'll try it in Asda soon. Just done a big shop at Tesco, wish I'd thought of buying it full price and then using the price check. In case I get a chance to go in again, how many items do you need to get to make a receipt eligible for the price check?0

My Asda only stock the refills and not the units to refill.... :rotfl:
Will try in Superdrug tomorrow or next week- anyone know when the offer price expires? Worried I will miss out on a great freebie lol.
Going to get a chocolate bar or two to take it over £5 so hopefully the coupon will be accepted as a couple of posters have had no trouble when they've done that.0 -

For info, I never bother loading any software for printing coupons and use the above method to get coupons posted to me. Amongst other things, it saves me printer ink. I have managed so far to get all coupons posted to me.
Interested to see wot happens with this one; although not too fussed if I don't get it as I already have a dettol auto handwish via a previous voucher offer.
I thought that I would share the above as a I know a lot of people have had probs with printing the voucher for this offer and so I hope this helps.
Thats good in theory but a lot of companies refuse to send coupons through the post if the print one doesn't work, I always do the request form if one of my coupons doesn't print but never had any coupon posted to me. xx0 -

Ain't happened with me so far. I have l always been sent posted coupons for all companies. Be interested to see whether I get this one but not overly bothered if it don't happen as advised in my previous post.0 -

I bought some drinks to take it over £5 but even that wouldn't convince em! It actually took £5 off the whole bill even though the thing is only £4.79. When the total came to £1.25 she said 'that can't be right...' and so began the refusal...
I'm a bit nervous about trying the voucher at my local Asda which is a small one that used to be a Netto. I know Netto didn't take coupons and some of the same (surly) staff are still there so don't know how they'll respond to coupons.
Surely the smaller Asda branches should take coupons the same as the larger ones?0 -
Will let you know how I get on. Was told the bigger Asda stock them, so I *may* try there next week, although it is a fair trip and cost in bus fares so not sure it's worth it just for a freebie.0

Having read about Superdrugs change of heart on here, went back today and got 2 lots with very little trouble, well only 3 SA to consult before I got a result. :jessex girl in exile0 -
used mine today at superdrug with no hassle what so ever, aparently they have been told to take the coupons but correct the coupon to £4.79 instead of £5.0

I went to superdrug today as i needed some bits i took my voucher and my DH took his he went 1st with out any items and the supervisor never mentioned anything and then i went to pay and she said she'll just put it through separate from my other goods and all went well VERY VERY VERY happy with this its my 1st offer that Ive got a freebie through voucher as normally I'm not that quick on the ball and loose out
but so happy with this Thanks
:j Here's to great things to come in 2015 :j
May everyone be lucky :T0 -
Another refusal at Superdrug to report here. Same excuse 'it is already on offer'.
The SA was keen to try, but the manager was in the till next to her and as soon as he saw me giving her the voucher he said, nooo!! She turned to say, why not? And he told her they could not take it, blah, blah, blah. She was keen to give it a go. Literally, I didn't say a word, but them two were arguing over whether or not the coupon should be taken, quite funny really. I bought another £1 item, just to take it over £5, so I was embarrassed not to buy it after I said I did not want the handwash without the voucher... so in the end it cost me!
Oh well... tried again in Savers, and no problem at all.
Thanks OP!0
