Can anyone help??? ..... I sold an item (approx £10) to a bidder from America. They are new to ebay (1 feedback)They have emailed me today to say they are going to pay by postal order / bankers draft. I thought you could only do this within the UK as it was a Royal Mail service??? Also if it is a bankers draft from a US bank would I have to pay loads to cash it in?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!! :T

What payment methods did you have on your auction as that will determine what you need to do. Most forms of money orders and foreign drafts incur charges in the UK, even those drawn in sterling, but if you had that as a payment option then obviously he is correct to pay that way.
Just make sure that he understands he needs to pay you in sterling, don't let im try and foist a US dollar anything on you.
For my overseas sales I have only paypal as my accepted payment as that means they can pay me in dollars and I receive the exact amount of my auction total in sterling.
