has anyone haggle with a power service company
Options
Im happy with my gas and electricity provider but i can save up £100 if i switch to a cheaper provider. Has anyone successfully negotiated with their power provider and got a cheaper deal. My 12 month contract due to end in May 2012.
If so when is the best time to contact my provider before the old contract expires and i automatically get put onto an expensive stardard tariff if i dont renew or change provider.

I tried it once with Scottish Power but got nowhere.
I just thought I'd offer them the chance but they just told me about all their own tarrifs (I was already on their best value one).''apply within''0 -
You might get a cash incentive, but not cheaper electricity/gas. The computer only caters for the tariffs they provide and they won't program it for a 'bespoke' tariff.0

If you are a registered business user you can haggle the price, the bigger users can haggle the better deals and invite one supplier to beat the others.Have never heard of domestic users haggling the price0
