Account advice please

We are currently with Halifax, and have a basic banking account with £150 OD.

On a couple of occasions we have gone slightly over the OD, not intentionally, but where for Example Paypal have dragged their feet in regards to taking money from us, leaving us with £30 per item fees from the bank that likes to give you extra (Fees).

What bank charges the least should this happen again, as we really want to leave the halifax now. There should be a limit on banks charging, similar to the Oft rulling in regards to credit cards. £30 charged due to them paying £2.98 covering Paypal is daylight robbery

Comments

  • maybe best to not go close to the £150 limit, or put through paypal when you know your balance

it may be better for you to put this on the reclaiming bank charges forum - there are loads of posts on this subject
