If it wasnt so long I would offer to make one and stick it in the post but I dont have any jiffy bags big enough to fit 30m of cable in.0

It is better to buy solid core bulk cable for built-in installations, rather than using patch cables which are stranded. There is no difference between straight or crossover until the plugs are attached, Cat 5e unshielded twisted pair is all the same if you buy in bulk.
You need something like this. Link. £11 for 75m.

Cat5e cable will go to 1Gbit not just cat6 so dont worry about it.
patch cable prices are very similar for both cat5 and cat6 but you cant buy a 305m reel of cat6 for £35. Im just going off on one. It really annoys me when I turn up to a company who paid a small fortune for new cat6 cable and when I get up in the ceiling or under the floor non of the cat6 standards have been adheared to. I've been installing 1gb switches on cat5e cableing and getting 1gb without problems. It depends how the cabling is done not just what cable has been used.
I expect that this cable is to link your adsl or cable connection from the socket downstairs to the PC upstairs, It will take major investments from the telecoms companies to get anywhere near the 100mb to push standard cat5 never mind cat6/cat5e, remember the fastest is only 24mb at the moment.
If your local to me then I will make the cable and you can collect it, my location is in my profile over there <<<<<0
