Pregnancy in a working family

Hello all,

I am looking for a bit of help and guidance as this is a particular topic i have little knowledge about....

I met my girlfriend about 3 years ago, she was a single mum on benefits living in privately rented accomodation on income support. After 2 years i had saved enough whilst living with my parents to buy my first house for all of us to move in together which made our family whole.

I work full time on around £25,000 and have a mortgage of £120,000. She not been in work for 5 years since just before she fell pregnant the first time around and after the break up with the biological father she has been a full time mum. As there were no part time jobs around she went to college for two years while the littlen was in nursery and she will be a fully qualified beauty therapist in two months...yes i have had numerous treatments i do not wish to mention...PS waxing hurts!!

The littlen is now 5 and is in full time education and loving every minute and doing us proud :T

We claim working tax credits which is about £10pw and child benefit which is £80 every 4 weeks.

The biological father is still involved and pays child maintenance and all is well...which is nice!

Today we found out we are expecting a littlen :j but i cannot seem to find a lot of information for a working dad and a non working mum with regards to benefits, grants etc....

Thank you in advance

One happy man :D
