Praise for Ernest Jones

Three years ago I bought a ring from Ernest Jones store in Mansfield for £165, plus an extra fee for 2 years insurance. Earlier this month I realised that one of the diamonds had fallen out, so took it into store to have it sent off to be repaired. A week later the manager rung to say that the ring couldn't be repaired, but that they would replace the ring. I went into store to collect my new ring, but the sales assistant realised the cost of the ring had gone up to £350 due to the classification of the ring being changed from a dress ring to a diamond ring. The supervisor still said to swap the ring for me even though the price had increased by so much, and even though i'd had the ring for three years!
I also went into the Meadowhall store today and received excellent customer service!
Very impressed with Ernest Jones!

I agree with you. They have good customer service. They repaired a ring just outside the insurance term at a reduced price without me asking first. Great stuff, they now my first place to consider even if they are a little more expensive.0

I have to agree.
A few years ago, I was looking at Gucci watch for my wife that was priced at £350.00 in one of Ernest Jones's outlets.
We went in so she could try the watch on and I decided to buy it for her, however, on payment, I was asked for £550.00. The manger in the shop apologised for their error and I declined to purchase the item.
I appreciate that the shop was not legally bound to honour the price, however, I wrote to their head office and expressed my disappointment.
I actually receive a reply from a director who apologised and told me to go back to the shop and the watch would be available for me to buy at the price that was displayed on the ticket.
I think that was a fantastic gesture which is all to rare nowadays.0
