Whenever I have claimed mileage (Forces plus about 8 other companies) it has always been the norm to round up/down to the nearest mile and not claim for tenths.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I just put the mileage I’ve done from going in, to getting out down on a sheet of paper.
I claim the nearest full mile and not for 10ths, so 56.8mi = 57mi and 63.4mi = 63mi. The difference is normally a few £ over the year, but claiming for a longer route, whilst allowed, is a little of a grey area.
