Ok so this time last year I had horrendous cc and store card debts of over 35K  I have managed to get this down to 30.5k still horrible but at least in the right direction. The aim is by the end of the year that this will be down to £24k and then gone by end of 2013:j. I have been working through them by highest interest rate and my latest "target" card should be paid off by June/July however after that am not sure which one to go for next; Barclay card c25%apr bal £5400 or MBNA c20%apr bal £3750. I know that true MSE'ers will say the barclaycard but I know from past experience that when the MBNA card has a low or zero balance they always offer 0% balance transfer deals which in the long run may save me money but is a gamble if they dont offer it- also as its a lower amount it will be paid off quicker which helps with the motivation
Any thoughts or suggestions ? (ps credit score shot to hell so no chance of being able to apply for low or 0% rate card:()
thanks

I'm in a very similar boat to you (not sure ifyou can see my post earlier from the CC board). If I were you I'd just get stuck and tackle the BC. They tend to be good with offering balance transfer deals either at 0% for a short time or 6.9% on the life of the balance for some people at the minute which I'm hoping to get out of them very soon. This takes away some of the risk as even if they don't you have still eaten away at the highest interest card. Win win.Real LBM - mid February 2012 :TStart (mid Feb 2012) - CC debt £18,912.59March - £16,671.51April - £15,847.380
