You use Windows Live help. Hotmail don't have a phone number you can call - because telephone support costs a lot of money - and hotmail is 'free' to use. You have no recourse against Hotmail, because you have never paid them anything, you called a 3rd party for help.0 -
Has anyone managed to get back into their hotmail accounts? Mines just been blocked & an old e-mail address that;s defunct has been given to send the unblock code to.0

I notice this is a bumped older topic, but I just had to comment on this.
He talking out of his backside saying that.paulinemoan wrote: »I called an independant computer tech and he said the number I phoned ( which hotmail customer service give you) was a number subcontracted by msn hotmail and was not actually msn hotmail themselves.
He's right that it isn't Hotmail, but there's no way that MS give you that number, and they aren't subcontracted by MS.
It says as much on their website. Please note: The Tech Line is an independent company providing telephone support services. We are not in any way connected or affiliated with the organisation / website / product / service you require help or support with. Finally reactivated my hotmail account, I'm afraid I'm unsure how I got there but I followed the link that Waddler_8 gave me & just kept clicking around until I finally came to Customer services area, you need to write an essay (last 4 e-mail titles, folders you set up etc) but I'm free again.0

Of all the ways to waste nearly £50 you waste it on phone calls to a premium rate number,0
