Hi guys,
I want to switch my gas and electric to another company, I am currently with british gas and have been told that they are highly priced and also have had a few problems with direct debits etc.
Does anyone have any idea about which companies are offering better deals at the moment?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks

At the moment i would recommend either npower sol 6 tariff via a cashback broker such as money supermarket or alternatively if you are a low to medium user try ebico who i would strongly recommend0

try ebico yes I have never looked back.
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
Tomorrow never come's as today is yesterday and tomorrow is today

Without doubt EBICO
Simple straight forward billing,no standing charge one rate for gas and one rate for leccy (or E7 rate if needed)
You can even pay AFTER you get your bill, either DD or send a cheque.0 -
The only circumstance i wouldn't recommend ebico at the moment is if you are a high user, otherwise Ebico is an excellent tariff. For High users either online tariffs with Npower/Atlantic for gas or BG/Scot Power for elec which seemed to be the best over the course of the last year.0

The question has been asked many times. It is amazing how many times the
answer is "EQUIGAS, EQUIPOWER and EQUICLIMATE".
They must be doing something right !
Yes, I am also one of their very satisfied customers.0 -
why not try putting your details in on uswitch or one of the comparison websites and seeing what you get
the problem is at the moment are prices are going down so if you put the same details in next month you are likely to get a completely different picture.
Ebico never comes up as value for me, but I'm a high user.
You can get cashback for switching suppliers via websites like quidco.
I'm waiting for another month to review mine once all the price decreases have been announced.Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Well, my switch from BG to Ebico went through really smoothly last week(although I haven't had a final bill from BG yet:rolleyes: ). Really pleased not to have anything more to do with BG!:j0

i've never switched and i'm with ScottishPower for Gas, and Powergen for electric. going by moneysupermarket.com comparison i can save a few hundred a year.... now ... with British gas reducing their rates in march should I switch now or wait till march ? I can use Quidco for cashbacks too, I use at least average for gas and electric
any help appreciated0
