Double Glazing

It looks like my double glazing has blown(moisture inside the units). I've been told that rather than getting the windows replaced I could get them resealed? Is this true?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ooops misread - ours were panes of glass replaced, not reasealed! I was told resealing could never get rid of the misting completley! One pane only costs about £90 fitted - obviously depended on size!
  • As a guideline on price, i had a (approx) 1.5m x 1m pane replaced for £100 including fitting, the pane was £70 and the labour £30.
  • Hi guys,

Thanks for your replies. So to get round the inner misting problem I just need to get the offending panes replaced? If so would it be just the inner pane, just the outer pane or both?
  • A double glazed unit is essentially a sealed unit, so the whole section is replaced. Its surprisingly simple todo!

I have heard of companies who claim to repair a faulty unit but do not known of anyone whos had it done!
