In my case Nothwest electricity via npower. They said my electric meter is nearing the end of its expected life and now needs to be replaced to give continued reliability of supply and at the same time their cut out box they changed from the original metal box to a modern plastic one. I then asked npower for an islolation switch to separate flow of electricity from the new meter to the consumer unit. This is now recognised as modern practice and necessary. Cheers
N power are a very helpful company as I have said before and their prices are competitive Their staff are on the ball and the telephone is answered quickly in my experience
