After successfully claiming a PPI refund from Egg, I have sent the PPI questionnaire to MBNA for two loans, one in 2005, and one in 2006 (both taken out over the phone).
I have cited the following reasons as to why the PPI was missold: It was a lump sum 'up front' premium, I felt pressured into purchasing it, I did not need it as if I fell ill, I would continue to receive full salary, I was not told that pre-existing conditions I had were not covered by the policy, and I am concerned that the salesperson was not financially qualified to sell me the policy. With regard to the second loan, I need to check, but I think the PPI would not cover the whole term of the loan.
Although on the form, it does say the PPI is optional, I did feel pressured into purchasing it.
Any ideas about what my chances of success might be?
Would welcome any suggestions. Thanks

I'm waiting to hear back on my MBNA loans too, but the general consensus on here is that front loaded PPI is pretty much a guaranteed win.0

Thanks Davey, I only posted the letter a week ago, so I'll wait and see. The PPI refund would allow me to clear the loan completely, so fingers crossed.0
