Should i get a card?

Hi everyone - Have posted this on the DFW board also as I want to check before I do apply but maybe you guys could offer me some advice?
I'm a single mum with 2 kids, currently on Mat leave and will be returning to work in September.
I've never missed a payment on any debts - I had two of them, a studio account and a next online account. I have since paid the studio account off.
I still have the next account though and I am desperateb to get rid of it. Currently I have an outstanding debt with them to the sum of 561.56 with the monthlly repayments of £50 (So it will take me a year to pay off if only pay min) with the APR set at 25.99% (Varible)
I am considering getting a 0% credit card - Paying off next and closing the account and then paying off the card.
Does this sound like a good idea or am i being completely stupid?
I've had a quick look on Martins advice and there is a credit card atm with 0% for 18 months ..
Thanks
