Modern house, integral garage. Approx how much to knock through from hallway & put in a door?
Would be really useful to have access to garage from the house.
Thank you.

for cavity wall £600-£800
for single skin £500-£7000 -
Can't see how it could be single skin . That price will be a great price depending on what door you want.A knock through and installing lintles putting a secure door thats fire retardant, fire check and any glazing being pyro and blast proof. Replastering new skirts and possibly a step . You can come and do mine and i havent got a garage attached. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Day 1 cut out (carefully on inside as not to disturb plaster)install 2 box lintels, render above door on internal ready to skim.
£260 lab&mat
Day 2 fix fire door frame with cill (cheaper than hardwood or cement step) hang fire door with approved furniture. fire arcs and cover splines/seal etc.
£320 lab&mat
day 3 make good plaster (3 hours)
£70 lab+mat
£650+vat
Total £780
depending where you are in the UK/ vat registered etc.
Unlikely to be single skin but not impossible.0 -
