Our printer does print to envelopes, as I've used mine already many times for it.
I type the address into word then select print from the "File" tab top left hand corner of screen.
Then click properties.
You will have various options available to you, you are looking for one which says "paper size". There maybe a few tabs to choose from but under one of the tabs in "paper size" will be an option for envelopes.(you may have to click on "more")
Select the size of envelope you're printing on and also check on the paper orientation as you'll need either landscape or portrait.
Put your envelopes into the printer as it shows on the paper feed tray at the rear of the machine.
And hopefully if you got the settings right 1st time it'll print correctly, if not adjust your settings as above:)
This is all from memory and how I do it on my hp B110 here at work;)
I don't always get mine right first time, so don't worry if you don't:)0 -
Thanks again callistris, it,s the 3050a, that you bought,so will try your advice, and see what happens. I will cut a piece of paper to envelope size and keep trying, so I don,t waste umpteen envelopes.:beer:callistris wrote: »Our printer does print to envelopes, as I've used mine already many times for it.

Hi if you have MS Word (instructions for Word 2003 follow):
select tools>letters and mailings>envelopes and labels and it will open on the envelopes tab.
Fairly straight forward and it allows you to select by envelope size
If you haven't already done so set your return address under tools>options>user information tab
Other variants of Word and Open Office write will be similar.
