Halifax Current Account

Just applied online for a halifax current account, went through the application process and at the end recieved a page with my sort code and account number on.
Now usually I am declined automatically but thought it was a bit strange to give out the account number at this early stage.
Just wondered if anyone else has applied on halifax's website and been declined even after receiving account details.
Thanks in advance.
P.S I was declared bankrupt on 2004 but recently my credit file has been updated and shows everything as settled so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

As far as I know, if you've got an account number and sort code, you've been accepted pending ID verification.
When I applied for an account with Bank of Scotland in branch I was given a letter with my account number and sort code on it, stating I'd been accepted pending showing them further identification.0 -
I was given the same page when i applied for a joint account. (Well given the Roll number (same sort of thing)
Declined a few days later.0 -

Same happened to me! They're weird... probably best to avoid Halifax if you can lol0 -
Halifax automatically assign an acc number and sort code as soon as you apply.0

it has no bearing on whether you are accepted or not.0

You may only qualified for an Easycash, which has a Visa Electron card.0 -
If the current account declined an easycash will not be offered as a replacement.
you will have to apply for the basic easycash yourself, as this can only be applied by the post - and online, but on a separate application with no credit scoring0
