I know this is an old thread, but I have this problem too around the rear of my property in a service road.
Dog poo all around.
Do any of the deterents like black pepper, jeyes fluid or chilli powder actually work especially in the winter when it rains a lot?
Clearing up after them and treading in it is driving me nuts.
Local town council are aware of the problem, but nothing much is being done about it.:hello:0 -
Remove or have removed the solid matter left on the area concerned.
Wash area with caustic soda solution, when dry wash again with Jeyes fluid.
The caustic will remove 'doggy' smell that other dogs like to overmark, the Jeyes will disinfect the area and help put off any habitual users.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Dissolve mothballs in meths. The smell lasts for months and it works a treat.0

Be careful with Jeyes it is harmful to our four legged friends! ...I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
I have had a long standing problem with my neighbor allowing her Dog to wee on my fence it trickles through the fence puddling on my driveway and it literally takes the polyurithane paint off the ground, I have used car underseal to paint a 2ft high plywood panel and screwed this to the fence sealing the edges around the panel with more underseal, this keeps the urine out of my garden, before making holes in the bottom of the orriginal fence, so that the urine runs back into her garden instead of mine, I then poured Fox deterrent which is a sachet of Aluminium Amonia sulphate 50 grams mixed with 2 litres of water and disloved in the water between the new panel and the old fence panel it is an irritant and discourages mamals from freqenting the area, so far so good it seems to work well. if only there was a way to electrifiy a wooden fence. I'd definately be up for a go at that. bloody pet owners should be responsible for their animals and not cause misery for other people because thay cannot face up to the responsibility of taking care of them. I have heard them telling the animal not to urinate on the fence what use is that I ask you it's a bloody Dog not a human being, I shall bring in the enviromental health department soon if this doesnt stop. it stinks.0

Whenever my dog has been caught short and peed on a neighbour's fence I go out with a basin of soapy water and wash it off. Only happened occasionally in years and neighbour usually tells me not to bother
As for poo, our dog has his last poo at midnight in our back garden which is picked up when we get up at 7am so doesn't bother anyone.
I agree that dog owners do need to be responsible and we consider ourselves to be. On the other hand Rax is beautifully behaved and certainly has cleaner habits than some folk I have seen who let their toddlers pee in the street :eek:0 -

 I would be fuming how bleep bleep irresponsible. I have always had dogs and every coat or pocket has doggy bags in them. There is no excuse. As for allowing them to constantly pee up against your fence im lost for words. NO wonder people have become less tolerant to them.0 -
Op I would put a notice on the tree saying that there is CCTV in the area in relation to the dog fouling.
You mark my words they will think twice about letting their dog foul as they will not know whereabouts it is.0 -
So if it's harmful to use Jeyes wjat would you recommend instead?0
