Hello,
One of my friends is getting married and I've been arranging his stag do.
Back in December, I made bookings with Easyjet to get away to the sun in the summer. Unfortunately one of our friends coming won't be able to make the trip now due to a serious family illness.
As I'm going to have to cancel his flight I was wondering where/what I should go to get the money back? Do I claim it back from Easyjet - I didn't opt for the insurance as some people have annual policies and some want to sort it themselves etc. Do I claim it back through my credit card?
Another option is to try and find an alternative person to come on the trip, but if we leave it too late, will this affect the rights to claim??
Does our friend have to claim it back?
Your advice is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Simon

I think if you find an alternative person to go on the trip they will charge you for changing the names and they may even charge you for cancelling your friends place as me and my partner had trouble with this a few months ago0

Might be simplest to do a name change, the excess on the insurance might be too high for a claim to be beneficial.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
