Vectra C steering wheel radio controls not working

Hi,

I have a 2005 Vectra SRI. A few days ago I noticed that the audio controls on the steering wheel have stopped working and the radio does not turn off when I switch off the ignition.

Has anyone ever had this before or have any ideas wht it could be?

the radios go faulty is the quick answer

Being an 05 plate I think yours will be full canbus so no code for the radio but if I am wrong and you still have the car pass then keep it handy.

Check fuses 1, 7, 9, 10, 12, 17 and 26 in the end of the dashboard. Check your handbook if you have one to make sure.

Disconnect the battery and leave it for 30 minutes or so then re-connect.

Doing this should solve your problem if not then it is almost for definate a wiring fault.

Worked a treat thanks a lot. Fuses were all ok but disconnecting the battery did the trick
