Hi
Im relatively new to selling on ebay and wanted some advice really.
I have 6 photographs that were taken officially by the Cambridge Evening News on their first tour (I paid to have them reprinted), the date was 4/11/1992, it is stamped on the back to say its from the newspaper.
Firstly, Do you think they will sell? im no longer an avid fan and im looking at selling things I don't need to go towards debts.
Secondly, should I sell them as one lot or would they be better split up?
many thanks
Claire

Your best bet would be to see what sort of money Take That stuff is selling for at the moment, really.
Probably be better to sell them as a set.0 -
I'm not sure but possibly you won't be able to sell them due to copyright as you didn't take the photos.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please!

thanks very much for that, I really would like to sell them but don't want to get in trouble for it!

You seem to contradicting yourself within your posts. You first said they were reprints and then later on originals.
Reprints are hardly worth anything, plus you bought the photos not the copyright, usually when buying photos from any newspaper, you are buying for your personal use only. As all photos taken are the righfull copyright of that newspaper.
Like TokochickUK has said for non commercial use or gain, plus gain any reward from any sale. So if you want to run the risk of copyright theft, go ahead.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
I wouldn't worry about selling them on ebay. So many photos get sold on there it's not worth a worry. As long as you're not out to make a huge profit on them.
I think Smitty meant they were reprints of the originals (from the paper).
Check out ebay Help or other listings for photos.Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
I would like to be lucky,healthy & happy in 2020! :T0 -
yes that is what i meant, I havent copied them, no not after a huge profit just thought someone would appreciate them more than me!

Yes i know they are reprints from the negatives. Worked within the newspaper industry for 15 years.
What i am saying is the newspaper owns the copyright to the photos.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
But Claire has paid the newspaper for the prints so they can be sold with impunity - unless she signed a contract to the contrary. What she can't (legally) do is make more copies.
It's no different from buying postcards.0
