Barclays Gold Credit Card for Balance Transfer

Hi there,

I've just got off from the credit expert site and checked my credit score .... Jeez (show surprise on face) my credit score has gone down. I am seriously shocked, [bit of back ground]because I have two credit credits, one I pay in full each month and the second has a greed pay plan on it which will come to an end on the 6th March. This second credit card is Monument which was transfered to a bank called R Raphaels and Sons PLc. That was back in 2007. On Friday I habe been notified by Monument the account is to be transfered to another company called CompuCredit Group LLC. And the payment break plan will no long be available as of the 6th of March.

There have appointed a debt management company called Circuit Financial Solutions.

My plan was to clear as much as a £1000 of the CC and balance transfer the rest.

Here's the dilemma, after going thru all the details at Credit Expert, Barclays Gold Credit Card came up, I've applied and I have been declined.

So, not sure what do next....any idea's please

With thanks,

Robert.

Being on a reduced payment plan will usually seriously affect your ability to get new credit.

Don't focus on the score - but look at the report - does it show your second card on an 'arrangement to pay'? or with a default?
Are you currently being charged interest on this card?

How much are they asking you to repay from 6march? the full balance or back up to the original minimum payment
A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give
or "It costs nowt to be nice"
  • today, I have spoken to the good people at pay plan.

the girl i have spoken too has advised me to send a letter of settlement for x amount and send a cheque for x amount with it.

And thus not to bother with them replying just get the money to them ..... is this right?
