Those born after 1979 could be stuck being a lifelong renter

It's a sensible thing to do. I would have saved an absolute ruddy fortune in rent if I'd been able to live at home when I was a student or after I'd graduated.
I guess in some ways as they couldn't help me out financially and there was no inheritance they actually helped me catch up with those who did have such things.
As I said I am happy here and they are happy with me being here so there is no problems, in many respects its simply a case they have rented a room to a young professional, as it is a young professional who they can trust 100% as its their son.
I do have a separate, I keep seeing the terms 'mummies boys' and 'growing balls' etc, does this also apply to women? as I know many women my age in the same situation (one of which I am marrying).Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

im 32, bought in 2004, a 3 bed semi, could have bought earlier but waited for the right house. Ive probably missed a couple of rungs off the ladder but 2 kids later and we are looking to move to a bigger house. Hopefuly house prices will continue to fall and the rungs between the ladder get smaller.
I really think you are too late ............Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

Interesting read and in many respects it does have it right, if I could rent knowing I can't be kicked out because a stranger feels like it then I would consider it as there is some advantages to renting. But right now the whole rental industry sticks and I want nothing to do with it, the only way I could secure a place to truly call home for my to be wife and (hopefully) children was to buy... which I have done.

Most likely the real women wouldn't date you upon finding out you still lived under mummies roof and rools.
Hey you lasted 2 posts before making it onto my ignore list, well done.

Why do the property bulls on this board post in this moronic way.
The majority of them are forever attacking the person rather than the argument.
This stuff is so childish. Nearly everything I post on this board(and all my O/P withot a doubt) are on the subject of what we are supposed to be debating and never the person.0 -
My son is 20 (nearly 21) saved up 20k deposit and all the fees and managed to get a further 20k knocked off the asking price ... He has a smaller mortgage than me now and has put in central heating and a fitted bathroom he still has more to do but is saving up each bit at a time ... Refusing to get into anymore debt than his mortgage ... I think he's done good

There are plenty of decent hard working creative adults in the UK today.
And the ones that are not up to scratch according to the right wing pointing fat bellied baby boomer types have been let down during our watch.
There is one guy on this board that talk about young adults as if they are vermin, and he is not the only one in the UK today.
What has happened in welfare depending crappy British estates in the UK over the last 40 years is complicated and won't be solved by finger pointing "look at those scum" types.
Whats needed is some tough love, understanding, incentive in lfe, and more than anything nurturing of our young more than norturing out wallets.0 -

Very impressive, thinking back I hadn't even warmth 20k gross by the age of 20 so her has certainly got something right. Well done to him and best of luck for the future.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
