Well, not as bad luck as others suffer in this world, but I am not having too good a time of it with the cat showing malarkey in recent weeks
First off, the Shropshire cat show that took place in Stoke (I know) had to close early because of the weather. While my two did very well with Spotty winning 4 out of 4 classes, there would have been a VERY good chance of him winning Best Foreign Kitten (which would have meant prizes :T), but the class wasn't judged because of the early finish.
Then, number two: They were meant to go to the Coventry & Leicester show yesterday, but my dear husband decided to go and have a collapsed lung on Friday which he is still in hospital for and of course meant I couldn't go yesterday
Then, number three: I did enter them for the Lancashire Cat Club on the 10th March... or so I thought. When I hadn't had my confirmation letter through, I called them and it would appear that my entry forms (and those of two or three others) had been lost in the post, and it was too late to do anything about it
So here's hoping for better luck when they hopefully get to go to their next show at the end of March!
Has anyone else experienced bad luck like this with their pets?

Yes the Southampton one is on 3/3/12 at Fleming Park Leisure Centre, Passfield Avenue, Eastleigh, Southampton, Hants. SO50 9NL - it is the Wessex Cat Club so an all-breed show. I hope you enjoy it, TallGirl!
Thanks to everyone who has wished hubby well. He has had the chest drain out now, so I am hoping he should be discharged tomorrow if things go OK overnight
. I know there will be other cat shows which is why it wasn't a problem for me to cancel. At the end of the day, I lost the £70 entrance fees and the cats lost the chance to start earning credits towards titles (now they are no longer classed as kittens), but these are minor things when you put them in relation to your loved one's health
