Japanese hand painted plates

Apologies if I'm posting this in completely the wrong place but it seems a friendly forum so I wondered if someone might be able to help...or suggest somewhere else I could post this query.

I am currently trying to empty my late Dad's house and have come across these two plates. They look Japanese and I think the picture is of Mount Fuji and a lake.

On the back of each one is some Japanese (?) writing which consists of three symbols.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

    You mean these ones :)

Not my field of expertise sorry, but I know auction house do hold valuation days, if you can find one near you.
  • Thank you so much for putting my pictures on - I couldn't work out how to do it lol.

Hopefully someone may recognise what they are now.

    Thanks again. :)

can you post the back ..It would help to see the kanji
  • On the first look, I would guess they are Noritake, but oriental china is a minefield. Sold something once that looked brand new, but was about 200 years old.

Thanks I will try and put a photo of the back on, although the writing is very small.

Will put it on as soon as I can.

Wow it must have felt brilliant to find out something was 200 years old!!

Again I can't work out how to show the photo so if someone else can I would be very grateful. Also I'm not sure if I've posted the writing the right way up or not. On the other plate the top two symbols are they same and the bottom one is different.

Not really, the guy paid me £4.50 for it, then told me what it was :rotfl:
