Well, here we are less than 48 hours from getting married!!!:j:j:j:j
Pepe has just finished making the most amazing Pepe and BB cake topper made out modelling clay (there are skunk tails and a corset involved!!) and clothes are all laid out for wearing! :T
We get married on Tuesday at the registry office which is a nice, old room. Just 5 guests there and a meal at a pub where they have offered to close off the whole bar for us and set it up for the meal!! (for free!!):T
Wednesday is cake making day; Pepe's village cooking competition winning Pineapple and Cherry cake on the bottom and then a very moist chocolate cake on top. Covered in chocolate frosting and then Pepe is going to carefully decorate with the celtic knotwork he is going to pipe in chocolate  :rotfl:
Friday afternoon and 20 family guests for our outside handfasting ceremony at our favourite little hotel we used to stay at. Then a meal and some family games (ker plunk, guess who, connect 4 and downfall) for those who want to play whilst they have a few drinks. Again, the room for free....who needs to pay these stupid prices at venues??!!!
Topped off with a week at a cottage on the Giant's Causeway. :kisses2:
Then only 6 weeks after we get back and Pepe's trucking days are finally, finally over. :T:beer:We are taking a van to Portugal with all our belongings in, here for Christmas and then in January we are booked to take the little Honda Civic I named Thunder when I bought over to Calais, through France, Spain and down to our new life on our little Quinta.
Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are so very, very happy. It's still like a dream sometimes. Those who know us know what we have been through in one way or another and I still find myself shaking my head in disbelief sometimes about how life has turned out :smileyhea
Without MSE........and without us both being in debt, none of this would EVER have happened.
So thankyou Martin Lewis :money: for MSE, thankyou to all the fantastic friends we have made over the last few years (I can't believe I've been a member of MSE so long ) - and thankyou in a rather peverse way to those who foolishly lent us both money over the years!! :rotfl:
(and yes, for the most, we have been VERY MSE with the budget for the wedding!! :rotfl::A:rotfl: )
