Please sign this government petition if you are a love of Live Music .
I go to loads of concerts and have had enough of getting ripped off.
The booking fees.
The add on fees.
The postage fees.
Secondary ticket sites buying all the good seats up and selling them on at a profit.
The greed of the likes of Ticketmaster etc.
Tickets for top acts " selling out " and appearing on secondary sites with minutes.
The touts on eBay who no longer stand on the corner but have moved to the modern way of emptying peoples wallets.
And on and on it goes.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Someone is trying to make a stand and as money saving people I feel its fair we should back this petition to the hilt.:T:T
!!!!!! Turpin used to wear a mask. Now he would use websites and booking fees to make a better living !

Concert Promoters selling all the good seats for a massive mark-up on the face value via Secondary ticket sites.
Ticketmaster charging the same for print at home tickets as they would if you wanted them posted to you or sent to the box-office.0 -

Whilst I don't think much of these petition sites, I must admit to being annoyed in the extreme about this myself.
Just booked three tickets for a local event (Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire) that is being sold by Sheffield Arena (so can't fetch them practically) - the individual ticket price was £29.95. A £9 fee was thrown in at the time of adding the tickets and then at the end, the only postage option was for £6.10. £15.10 for the privilege...half the price of an extra ticket.
Tried ringing to see if there were other options (picking up from a local source etc) and it has been engaged all morning.
£15.10 for three printed bits of paper and a stamp - legalised thievery!

What about this one
Charged fees for paperless tickets0 -
The fees (as they say) are in keeping their technology up to date with this new form of ticketing. Storing the millions of eTickets that have to be saved on a server before the buyer downloads their tickets is another example of charging buyers for their IT upgrades!0

This really gets me as well - so expensive are gigs these days!
I don't go to many but have managed to get a ticket for the Blur warm up gig at Wolverhampton - that's cost me £45 with all the booking fees! At least I got front row balcony seat!
I'm going to the Levellers in November - that will just be ticket price as I'll go to the venue and pay cash so no booking fees.
Now I really want to see Muse who have just announced a tour in October tickets £55 and £10 in booking fees!!! If I go this may involve hotel so at least £100 (£200 if I went to the London gig)
Grrrr! I keep saying I'll not go with these costs but if I see Muse that's 3 gigs in 12 months - I use to go to at least 1 a month years back!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
Sealed pot challenge number 9 number 4820 -
If I absolutely have to book tickets through ticketmaster I use this discount - it's sometimes up to 50% off - but even if its 20% thats the fees covered. it doesnt stop it being a total rip!0
