British Gas: £200 cashback for homecare customers?

I just had a repair done (on the hot water tank) and the British Gas engineer said that as we were Homecare customers we could get a £200 discount if we switched our gas & electricity supply to them. But I can't find any reference to this offer online. Is it true?

Most likely an engineer offer. check the paperwork he left.... they might be a telephone number to call with a special code....

It is an engineer only offer, not sure if it applies to tariffs across the board though. Take the phone call and see what they say.

The engineer should have left you with a card with the information about this on it.

To be eligible for the £200, you will need to sign up to BG's standard tariff, so check what you'll pay here against other tariffs on the market (including non-BG tariffs) to see where you get the best deal overall.

Well, I had an engineer round who told me about it, I followed itb up some months later and after a fair bit of hassle I switched.
However they have not credited me with the first hundred and have no that I am supposed to be getting the discount. I see that the tariff is 10+ % higher than other tariffs they offer, though were they to honour the deal I would be betting 2 x £100 which is about 15%.
