Can anyone find out who registered the website http://www.shamballabraceletsuk.net I believe they have a copyright infringement and are misleading the consumer.

I tried and failed to find the WHOIS for this website
thanks.

  • What murky company you keep, epitome!

That particular website is as dodgy as b*ggery; no phone no or postal address, no names or anything else - I certainly wouldn't do business with them. You could ask them directly using their web contact page, I suppose?

The various other domains (.com, .org, .co.uk, etc) have varying degrees of privacy applied and seem to be owned by a variety of companies and private individuals both in the UK and China.

Given the different common spellings of Shamballa/Shambala/Shambhala etc, it's not even a particularly "attractive" domain name.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.

http://who.is/ is good for this sort of thing.

Details look fake to me, but you never know.

    Try here......

    http://www.domaintools.com/

Okay above link works only if there are not to many connections using it but registration details at also at bottom of this link here...

    http://www.whoismind.com/whois/shamballabraceletsuk.net.html

If you google the registrars name or address a few interesting connected sites pop up.

Even better the email address associated with the registrar points to these domains (first 50).........

    Good luck.

Does seem abit misleading saying its UK when the webhosting is actually in the US and the registrar info looks fake but again US registered.

I think you may be hosed - registration tracks back to China where the concept of design protection seems to be wafer thin. Registrant seems to be bizcn.com, cheap Chinese hosting. Try writing to them, there is a chance they'll kill the listing, but if it's profitable, you're playing whack-a-mole, much like every variant of the word 'ugg' is...
abuse@softlayer.com may get the site killed temporarily until they re-host it elsewhere?

Exactly, take for example one of the fake or at the very least misleading Abercrombie & Fitch domains associated with the above lot, Chinese copies imported into the UK.
