Hi,
We had this blind, but since having new windows the handles come out a bit further than they used to be. So just need the blind to sit further back on the window (we have very deep windows). And from outside you wont notice and only by looking at it in detail inside. (It's in the spare room anyway). Just will save us £60 for a new blind.
I would like to extend this top rail (not the blind) about 2 ins each side. Or by longer brackets than the ones i have.
Top blind rail is 2.5"hx 1.5" d the supplied brackets are 2" d x 1"w.
So really would like the brackets to be "2d x 3" w.
Have enclosed a photo

Thanks

I understand you want to move the blind further into the room, away from the window, yes?
But I'm afraid i don't really understand your question re the brackets........can you post a picture of the existing brackets?
Most brackets have several ways of being fixed in place.0 -

I would imagine the solution is mounting the brackets in a different position, rather than extending them. Hard to tell from pic but I should think these either screw to the horizontal rebate or the sides, so you could play around with different positions.
Some rebates, in my experience, are very hollow, and dont give much to fix to. Spring toggle wall fixings are good for these type of situations:
