I have a dilemma someone is married declared separated but still lives with the wife with children has declared himself bankrupt and too sick too work but has two other jobs plus a druggy sideline and also bankrupted himself at his parents address and asked the other siblings to bail him out. He has stolen money belonging to his family also.
Some of the debt is due to government and the remainder 6 figure sum due to purchases made which he sold on at a profit. He also received a personal injury claim worth 5 figure sum. Would you report him or not, I think it would come back to haunt me if I did
but feel I am working day and night for nothing when people like this fraud the system and get away with it.

I might add he is no relation of mine thank god!0

The question asked - "would you report him?"
My answer - in a heartbeat - people who defraud the system make it so much harder for genuine people to get help.0 -
without a second thought. to be honest, i wouldn't need to ask on an internet forum0

I would, bankruptcy is there to protect those in genuine need, and people who break the rules hurt other bankrupts, just one point regarding your original post though. If you receivecompensation for a personal injury claim during bankruptcy then the law allows you to keep itHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

From your outline, breach of bankruptcy laws may be the least of his offending.
As a start, I would report him as a benefits cheat:

What do you get out of it..revenge? even a score?
Bit funny this one coming on a bankruptcy forum where i reckon 80% of the people have lied to someone over debt or income...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I prefer to think that the majority of people on this forum are generally honest and have either just been a little foolish with money in the past of have simply fallen on hard times.
The main point in this sort of case is that the person who defrauds the system makes life more difficult for people who need the protection of bankruptcy.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
