My local store is useless for bargains but I did notice that they had a few of the baby annabels, they were SEL for £39.97 so thought I would get them price checked, came up at £44! What would have happend if I had bought, would I just have got the diffirence back now?

    no, you'd have got double the difference back so £8.06 (£44 - £39.97 x2)
so the doll would have cost you £35.94..

My son is SW nuts, and would love the lego, and a new lightsabre, but it's so expensive!

Sorry I'm not sure about where you live, but in a few different Liverpool stores I have come across:
FX Lightsabre - think it was somewhere between £10 and £15 down from over £40
Clone Trooper blasters in various types, eg. foam darts, Bobba Fett blaster etc - £4
Clone Trooper and Darth Vader electronic helmets - £9 each
Not seen any Lego though :(
